Press Release: Bike Map of Aquidneck Island

Great Swamp Press, a Rhode Island company, is pleased to announce the publication of our newest map, entitled Bike Map of Aquidneck Island and Guide to Coastal Access (ISBN 978-0-9829704-7-8). This is our second bicycle map and another map in our series designed for those wishing to explore and enjoy the Rhode Island outdoors. This fine new map, created with both islanders and visitors in mind, features a comprehensive list of the over 90 coastal access points found in Newport, Middletown and Portsmouth. Many of these access points do not allow parking, and thus, with this guide, bicyclers will have a great way to gain access to parts of the coast they may not otherwise visit. In addition to the coastal guide, the map shows distances in both miles and kilometers between many intersections, identifies scenic roads, and marks various walking trails on the island, such as the Cliff Walk, the Sakonnet Greenway Trail, the Bay Walk at Fort Adams, Sachuest National Wildlife Refuge and the Newport Harbor Walk. Printed on both sides on high quality paper, the map measures 17.5″ (44.5 cm) wide x 21.5″ (54.6 cm) tall unfolded, and folds to 3.5″ (8.9 cm) wide x 5.375″ (13.7 cm) tall. It retails for $5.95.
